Refresh your browser
Hard refresh EngageOne in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, and clear its site data when pages look broken or out of date after an update.
On this page
A hard refresh loads the latest version of EngageOne instead of an older copy saved in your browser. Try it first whenever something looks wrong after an update.
When to refresh
- A page looks broken, or buttons are missing or in the wrong place.
- A new feature your team mentioned doesn't appear for you.
- The dashboard keeps loading, or shows an old version of a setting you just changed.
- Your website's chat widget still shows old colours or text after you changed its settings.
Hard refresh
A hard refresh reloads the page and ignores the saved copy.
| Browser | Windows and Linux | Mac |
|---|---|---|
| Chrome | Ctrl + Shift + R |
Cmd + Shift + R |
| Edge | Ctrl + Shift + R |
Cmd + Shift + R |
| Firefox | Ctrl + Shift + R |
Cmd + Shift + R |
| Safari | – | Cmd + Option + R |
You can also hold Shift and click the reload button in Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
Tip: If you have EngageOne open in several tabs, refresh each of them, or close all but one.
Clear site data for EngageOne
If a hard refresh doesn't help, clear the data your browser stores for your EngageOne address. This doesn't delete any conversations or settings. They're stored in EngageOne, not in your browser.
Chrome and Edge
- Open EngageOne.
- Click the icon to the left of the address in the address bar.
- Open Site settings in Chrome, or Permissions for this site in Edge.
- Click Delete data or Clear data, and confirm.
- Reload the page and sign in again.
Firefox
- Open EngageOne.
- Click the padlock icon to the left of the address.
- Click Clear cookies and site data, and confirm.
- Reload the page and sign in again.
Safari on Mac
- Choose Safari → Settings and open the Privacy tab.
- Click Manage Website Data.
- Search for your EngageOne address, select it and click Remove.
- Reload the page and sign in again.
Menu names can change slightly between browser versions.
After clearing site data
Clearing site data resets a few things that are stored in your browser:
- You're signed out and need to sign in again.
- Browser push notifications are switched off. Turn them on again in your profile. See Browser notifications.
- Small personal preferences kept in this browser, such as some layout choices, go back to their defaults.
Still not working?
- Try a private or incognito window. If EngageOne works there, a browser extension may be interfering. Turn off ad blockers and privacy extensions for your EngageOne address.
- Update your browser to the latest version.
- Try another browser.
- If the problem is only on your website's chat widget, refresh your website, not the dashboard. Visitors see widget changes the next time they load a page.
If the problem continues, contact your administrator or Driansh support. Tell them which browser you use, what you see, and when it started.
